Congratulations to Jason & Stacy on their engagement
I had the opportunity to shoot some engagement images for Jason and Stacy recently. I always love having the opportunity to do an engagement session with couple before shooting their wedding. This was especially good because I had never met Jason, being that he was deployed with the Army, when Stacy and I first met about her wedding. They were a great couple to work with. They were completely relaxed and cooperative. I can tell that we'll have a great time shooting their wedding. The couple is getting married in May at Shove Chapel at Colorado College.

Family Fun
Chris and I had a great time doing portraits Victoria and her son Jordan a few weeks ago. We all met down at Monument Valley Park and had some fun. It's always nice to do the formal along with the playful. They were a great family to work with and even the dogs were cooperative.

Latest Additions
This past weekend, Chris and I had the opportunity to do some family portraits for the Temples. We had the honor of photographing their wedding a few years ago and we're delighted when they contacted us to create some portraits with their new son, Connor. He is just adorable and was a joy to photograph. For only being three months old, he handled the shoot very well. Not one single cry or moment of fussing. Chris and I would like to thank them for allowing us to document their familiy's current status, and would love to create some more images in the future.

Congratulations Srdjan (a.k.a Serge) & Kristin
This past Monday, Chris and I had the honor of shooting the wedding of our good friends Serge and Kristin. I cannot begin to tell you how much fun we had shooting this wedding. It is always so great to shoot weddings for friends, because you have so many other friends there as well. The couple was married in an intimate afternoon ceremony at Saint's Constantine and Helen Holy Theophany Orthodox Church. The couple hosted a small luncheon for family and close friends at Mackenzie's Chop House, followed by a huge nightime reception at South Side Johnny's. Serge is a manager and resident DJ at SSJ's. He was just voted the best DJ in Colorado Spring's in the Independent's 2008 Best of Awards. You really should check him out some time. Needless to say, there was no shortage of friends to jumb behind the turntables. You can view a small preview of images by clicking here. I'll get more up soon shortly, but I knowSerge and Kristin have a ton of friends anxious to see some images from their big day.

Congratulations Chris & Adrian
Chris and Adrian were married in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the Briarhurst Manor in Manitou Springs, Colorado. Chris and I clicked instantly with this couple. The groom is a film school graduate like myself, so it was nice to talk shop so to speak. With the exception of having a camera go out, this was a wonderful day for us. The couple was so relaxed, it made them great to work with. Chris and I wish them all the best.

Randell and Christine's Engagement Session
This past weekend, Chris and I had the opportunity to photograph engagement pictures for Randell and Christine. We decided to meet downtown and just wander a bit. When we met up with the couple, Tejon Street was like a wind tunnel, so we all decided to go have a cocktail and see how the weather shaped up. I'm so glad that we made that decision. The wind calmed down, we ended up getting some great pictures, and got the opportunity to the know them better. This will be a great asset to us when we photography their wedding this coming June at The Garden of the Gods Club.

Kelsey's Senior Shoot
I had the opportunity to shoot Kelsey's Senior pictures this past weekend in Manitou Springs. Kelsy and her mother were a joy to work with. We just wandered around Manitou and tried a bunch of different poses. It was all very easy-going and actually a bit refreshing to shoot compared to weddings. We wish Kelsey the best of luck with the rest of her high school career.

Congratulations Mike & Claire
I had the honor of shooting second camera for my good friend Lise Hunt a few weeks ago at the wedding of Mike and Claire. The couple was married in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony at the Heritage Eagle Bend Golf Club in Aurora, Colorado. They were a tremendously easy couple to work with, so Lise and I had a great time documenting their day.

Full Tilt
I've had a few people ask recently if Gaven is walking and the answer is yes: freaking everywhere. He went from this kind of wobbly unsure baby step thing to almost a full out sprint in what seems like just a few days. Here he is smiling about Denver's last minute win over the Chargers this past Sunday.

Sammie's a Senior
Our friend Karin's daughter is a Senior this year so we recently had the opportunity to take her Senior pictures. I'm pretty sure that Sammie was in elemenatry school when we met her, so it's a bit surreal to be taking her Senior pics already. We shot her older sister's Senior pictures what seems like only a little while ago, but she just graduated from college. We had a good time doing these. We just strolled around Manitou Springs and snapped a few when something struck us.

Congratulations Rich & Kathy

Rich and Kathy were married Saturday August 9th, 2008 at St. Michael's in Aurora, Colorado. The wedding ceremony was followed by an open house at the couples home, and an evening lake-side dinner and reception at the Inverness Hotel in Denver. We had so much fun shooting Rich and Kathy's event. They were so welcoming and eager to include us as guests, as well as vendors.

Congratulations to Jeff & Ying

Jeff and Ying were married this past weekend at the home of one of Jeff's relatives in Colorado Springs. The intimate ceremony was held in the beautifully landscaped backyard, complete with a waterfall and Koi pond. Jeff and Ying are both students at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. They chose a small gathering of famiy and close friends for ther wedding. We were honored to be a part of it.

Congratulations Mike & Mel
They actually got married a while ago, but they finally had the party. Chris and I were honored to shoot the wedding reception of Mike and Mel last month. The luncheon reception was hosted by The Craftwood Inn, in Manitou Springs. It was beautiful day filled with family, friends, and wonderful food. They were a great couple and we had a wonderful time shooting their event. It was a nice departure to not have the pressure of shooting the actual wedding and just having the fun part.

Gaven's First Birthday
Our little Gaven had his first birthday this past Friday July 11th. We had his birthday party a few days earlier to accommodate our shooting schedule and visiting family. My mother, brother, and his family were up from Texas so they got to be a part of the celebration. Gaven got extra excited when the candles were lit and the singing started. He even attempted to blow the out. Maybe eventually I can get some video posted, it was pretty hilarious. For now you can click here for boring old still pictures.
Congratulations Derek & Rebecca
Derek and Rebecca were married Friday July 11th, 2008 at the Penrose House at Turkey Creek. The couple had an outdoor ceremony surrounded by family and friends followed by a "Wisconsin" style reception; complete with burgers, beer, and brats. It was a great party and I'm sure a great time was had by all.
Congratulations Mark & Rachel
Mark and Rachel were married in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony at the Craftwood Inn in Manitou Springs on Saturday July 5th, 2008. The couple had an afternoon ceremony followed by lunch and dancing surrounded by family and friends. Chris and I had a great time working with this extremely sweet couple.

Boys of Summer
Trenten and Logen are both playing baseball again this summer. Unfortunately, with the majority of the games being on Saturday, often Chris and I cannot attend. A few weeks ago we did get the chance to catch both of their games and I got a few images to share. Trenten is the assistant coach for Logen's team, which explains the shot above. You can see more action here.
